It's also possible that they went on vacation and she forgot to mention it. The fair folk would definitely use Marigold to get back at us if they could. I hope she's okay and just hasn't had a chance to get in touch, but we still haven't heard anything, and before this we were talking every day. I can't help worrying.

Love,
Summer

P.S. Reese, did you change your blog address? We can't find it anymore! :-(Blakeney Greenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08159136159222855283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2209525367139857595.post-45970485696128845872012-07-15T12:18:23.961-02:302012-07-15T12:18:23.961-02:30Salut, Summer!

I'm sure Marigold is fine though and she'll come visit. :)

Love,
Reese <3Reesehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07676214720863467619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2209525367139857595.post-61430262355865026652012-07-15T03:50:01.106-02:302012-07-15T03:50:01.106-02:30Summer says:
Hi Inky! Yeah, that... might not be ...Summer says:

Hi Inky! Yeah, that... might not be the simplest explanation. ;-)

I was talking about it with Kirsten, though, and Kirsten said, "Maybe you offended her."

I couldn't think of anything I might have said that would offend, but I seem to be stepping on a lot of toes lately, so I was open to the possibility. I asked what I might have done.

Kirsten replied, "Maybe when you asked her a bunch of questions instead of just acting excited, she thought you didn't want to see her after all."

That... might be true.

I honestly don't think my questions were out of line. It's hard to prepare for a guest when you have no clue when they're coming or how long they're staying, and we could get in big legal trouble if she came here without her parents' permission.

Maybe I gave the wrong impression anyway, though? Maybe I asked in a way that seemed rude? Or maybe I should have waited to ask stuff until a later time?

I don't know. I feel like I'm striking out a lot lately. There's not really anything I can do but wait, I guess.

I hope that if she really is just mad at me, she'll get over it and talk to me again. I'd hate to lose a sister before I even know her, especially over such a silly misunderstanding.

By the way, yeah, I'm sure everything will work out with the fair folk. When you've been in as many scary situations as we have, nothing sounds all that scary anymore. We're trying to take reasonable precautions, but we're not too freaked out. ;-)

Love,
SummerBlakeney Greenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08159136159222855283noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2209525367139857595.post-42247130730617594792012-07-15T03:41:17.394-02:302012-07-15T03:41:17.394-02:30Summer,

Maybe she just went camping with her family and her phone is out of service? And she said she wanted to come visit because she was trying to get out of camping?

Okay, that's not the simplest explation. I'll keep Marigold in my thoughts. I hope she's safe!

Love,

Inky

P.S. I hope everything works out with the Fair Folk. The situations your family is in always sound so scary, but think- you've prevailed every time. You can do it again!Inkyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05140822676840737434noreply@blogger.com
