What seems to be trouble may possibly be brewing

So, out of curiosity...

Say, hypothetically, that you had to break it to your guardian that a mysterious and very nervous girl of uncertain origin is currently hiding out in your family's garden shed? What is the best way to phrase that?

Just, you know. Hypothetically.

  1. "Guardian, you know that garden shed we have? Have you ever wondered if someone, say a girl, was living in it? Because I think such a girl might be. You know, since it's such a cool place and all."

That's hypothetically what I would say.

  2. "I was looking around in the shed the other day, and I came across something.... Do you think that, possibly, there's a girl living in there? Just, you know, hypothetically."

  3. "Hey, um, I think there is something in the shed. I'm scared to investigate myself, so could you?"
I am very blunt about those things because I am easily frightened...

  4. Thanks for your ideas, girls! :-)

We sort of... tried to combine them. And it sort of didn't work. She totally thought we were kidding and/or really bored and making up stories.

At one point, she asked, "WHY would there be a girl hiding in the shed?"

And we really had no answer for that. We decided to investigate. That is, go flat-out ask the girl. We should at least meet her, right?

But that will be another post, very soon. ;-)

  5. Oh me, oh my! Haha. I hope it all works out. I've been in some pretty sticky situations before... And this definitely seems sticky. Just break it to her gently. Honesty is always the best policy. Hypothetically speaking. ;)
I really like your blog! I can't wait to read more.
